Penguin Random House Pulls Palestine History Book After Editorial Clash
Penguin Random House withdrew a children’s book on Palestinian history by Alana Hadid and Jenan Matari days before its scheduled release due to unresolved disputes over the portrayal of the 7 October 2023 attacks. The authors claimed the publisher inserted language labeling the attacks a violation of international law, contradicting their analysis of resistance rights. The book, part of the 'Race to the Truth' series, will now be published by Interlink Books. Random House stated it followed standard procedures and supported the authors' decision to pull the title.
