Colorado State Head Coach Jim Mora Jr. Replaces Defensive Coordinator Mid-Game After 56-Point Collapse
Colorado State head coach Jim Mora Jr. removed defensive coordinator Tyson Summers from play-calling duties during the first half of a 56-26 loss to Oregon State on October 3. Summers subsequently left the sideline and was officially dismissed from the program. Mora installed co-coordinator Kenny McClendon as the new defensive play-caller, citing a need for immediate change after the Rams allowed 56 points and 639 yards. The decision followed a season where Colorado State’s defense ranked 129th nationally, allowing 34.3 points per game prior to this matchup.
