Legendary NFL Kicker Jim Turner Passes Away at 82.
Jim Turner, the former kicker for the New York Jets and Denver Broncos, has died at the age of 82. Turner famously kicked three field goals in the Jets' Super Bowl III victory over the Baltimore Colts in 1969. He played for the Jets for seven seasons and was inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame in 1988. Turner never missed a game in his 16-year professional career and scored 1,439 points. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, and eight grandchildren.
