Patriots Finalize 17-Man Practice Squad with Zylstra Signing, Waive Two Rookies
The New England Patriots have reached the 17-player limit for their practice squad by signing veteran tight end Shane Zylstra. Simultaneously, the team waived two undrafted rookies, wide receiver Jimmy Kibble and safety Eric Butler, from injured reserve. Zylstra, a 29-year-old veteran with experience for the Lions and Bills, joins a squad that includes running backs Lan Larison and Hassan Haskins. The Patriots are preparing for their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on September 9, following a week of final roster adjustments.
