
Incendiary device and gunfire thwarted outside 26 Federal Plaza, Manhattan
An incendiary device was deployed outside 26 Federal Plaza in Lower Manhattan. The suspect, 43-year-old Andrew Arrabaca, ignited gasoline and a firework, brandished an airsoft rifle and fired 5–7 pellets before being detained by officers and a contractor guarding the building. Three people—one civilian and two government employees—suffered minor injuries. The FBI’s New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is leading the investigation; no charges have been announced yet. Authorities warned of traffic and transit disruptions around Worth and Lafayette streets as the scene remains under investigation.
