Jon Cypher, Hill Street Blues Chief and He-Man Ally, Dies at 94
Jon Cypher, the versatile actor who played Police Chief Fletcher Daniels on Hill Street Blues and Duncan 'Man-at-Large' in Masters of the Universe, died August 3 at age 94 in Central Point, Oregon, with his wife by his side. A Broadway alum dating to Cinderella’s 1957 live telecast, his career spanned TV guest turns, the CBS sitcom Major Dad, feature films such as Valdez Is Coming, and voice/animation work, with his final credit in 2001. He is survived by his wife Carol Rosin; burial is planned in Ashland, Oregon.
