Triathlon Coach Survives Savannah River Alligator Attack During Ironman Prep
Jonathan Bruney, a 31-year-old triathlon coach, survived an alligator attack in the Savannah River while training for Ironman Augusta. He fought off the animal by targeting its eyes, and teammates applied a tourniquet until paramedics arrived. Bruney plans to race despite a three-to-four-week recovery period.
