Notre Dame Overcomes Clunky Performance to Defeat UNC 37-26
Notre Dame defeated North Carolina 37-26 in Chapel Hill, securing a fifth straight win against the Tar Heels. The game featured a dramatic second-half surge by UNC, including a 98-yard kickoff return, but the Irish responded with a dominant rushing attack. Freshman running back Jonaz Walton had a breakout performance, gaining 92 yards in the second half, while quarterback CJ Carr managed the clock effectively despite wet conditions. North Carolina’s defense briefly threatened an upset but ultimately could not contain Notre Dame’s physical ground game.
