In Greensboro, Jordan High won its first 8A boys track state title after Mallard Creek was disqualified in the final 4x400; Mallard Creek's girls captured the 8A crown. Nyan Brown set a state-meet record in the 300m hurdles (35.96s), Bella-Marie Black dominated the girls events for Mallard Creek, and sportsmanship awards went to Asher Holland (Jordan) and Anthony Cook (Mallard Creek).
