Roginsky Laughs Off Trump’s Maine Taunt On MS NOW
President Trump spent about two minutes trash-talking Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner in the Oval Office, calling him a 'thug,' but his remarks drew laughter from MS NOW panelist Julie Roginsky and failed to land. The White House doubled down, saying Platner’s critics are wrong while highlighting past controversies tied to Platner. Platner, a Marine veteran and oyster farmer who faced scrutiny over a Nazi-linked tattoo and explicit texts, nonetheless won the Maine Democratic primary and will face Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November, as Democrats hope to flip the seat.
