Record-Breaking July: Earth's Hottest Month Ever
July 2023 was the hottest month on record globally, with high sea surface temperatures contributing to the heat. It was also the 11th warmest July on record in the US, with heatwaves affecting much of the country and record temperatures in the Southwest.
