Former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice's lawsuit dismissed after record turnover
An open records lawsuit against former Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Patience Roggensack has been dismissed after she turned over all records related to her work investigating possible impeachment of a sitting justice. The records she produced did not reveal the impeachment advice she gave to Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. Two other former justices recommended against impeachment. The liberal watchdog group American Oversight sued Vos, Prosser, Wilcox, and Roggensack, alleging violations of the state's open meetings law. The open records claim against Vos remains, and a status hearing is scheduled for January 25.
