
16-Year-Old Indicted as Adult in Stepsister's Killing Aboard Carnival Horizon
A 16-year-old Titusville resident has been indicted as an adult on murder and aggravated sexual abuse charges for allegedly sexually assaulting and killing his stepsister aboard Carnival Horizon in international waters; the death was ruled mechanical asphyxiation. The case, previously a juvenile matter, was transferred to adult prosecution and could carry a life sentence if convicted. The FBI is investigating and the matter is in the Southern District of Florida.
