Godzilla Minus Zero, the direct sequel to the 2023 hit Godzilla Minus One, premiered at the New York Film Festival on September 26, 2026. Directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the film is the first entry in the 72-year-old franchise to receive an R-rating. Set in 1949, it follows former kamikaze pilot Koichi Shikishima and his makeshift family as they confront a new threat, King Ghidorah.
