Kairi remains unsigned as AEW talks stall amid strong Japanese interest
Kairi remains a free agent after her April 2026 release from WWE, with no contract signed with AEW as of October 17, 2026. While light discussions continue between the wrestler and AEW, significant interest from Japan is currently being held up by the ongoing AEW negotiations. Kairi is confirmed to appear on Chris Jericho’s upcoming cruise. AEW President Tony Khan expressed intrigue about potentially signing her but declined to confirm a deal, while also confirming that absent star Toni Storm will return.
