
Karl Marx Writings Uncovered in UWS Stabbing Case
A 51-year-old man, Raul Morales, allegedly yelled 'Allahu Akbar' during a stabbing rampage on the Upper West Side, injuring two men. Police found Karl Marx writings in his Amsterdam Avenue apartment, along with two Qurans, a Jehovah’s Witness Bible, and a Che Guevara book. Morales faces two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault, and one attempted assault, all charged as hate crimes, with up to 40 years in prison; he was arraigned Friday night and ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Victims Chok Sung (57) and Moshe Grunhaus (50) remain in stable condition after being attacked near West 84th–86th Streets and Central Park West.
