Niewiadoma-Phinney seals Mont Ventoux solo to claim Tour de France Femmes stage and yellow jersey
Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-SRAM) launched a long-range solo attack with 9.2 km to go and rode clear up Mont Ventoux to win Stage 7 of the Tour de France Femmes in 4:22:53, taking the yellow jersey with a 15-second advantage over Demi Vollering; Elisa Longo Borghini finished third as Vollering chased and Marlen Reusser faded in the finale.
