Windows 11 gains fast rollback with Point-in-Time restore in latest preview update
Microsoft's Windows 11 KB5095093 preview cumulative update for 24H2 and 25H2 adds Point-in-Time Restore, a fast rollback feature that can revert the whole PC, apps, and files to a recent restore point captured via VSS within the last 72 hours (new restore points are created every 24 hours; enterprise profiles can schedule every 4–24 hours). The update is optional/non-security and is distributed through Settings or the Microsoft Update Catalog; it also fixes a Recycle Bin confirmation dialog issue and rolls out a wide range of quality improvements across security, networking, UI, and accessibility, with a known issue that some third-party Office apps may fail to launch after installation, to be addressed in a future update.
