Wings edge Fever 107-104 as Clark shines in season debut
Dallas Wings edged the Indiana Fever 107-104 in the season opener at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Caitlin Clark scored 20 with seven assists and five rebounds in her long-awaited WNBA debut, while Kelsey Mitchell paced Indiana with 30 points. Dallas shot 39-for-66 to Indiana’s 40-for-77, pushing the Fever to play at the Wings’ pace; a late push fell short when Mitchell’s last-second 3 rimmed out. Halftime stood at 60-51 Wings, and Indiana’s next game is May 13 at the Los Angeles Sparks.
