Russia destroys dam to aid military operation in Ukraine
Ukraine's deputy defense minister has claimed that Russia blew up the Khakhovka dam to prevent a counteroffensive in the south and is now re-deploying its most combat-ready units to other areas. The destruction of the dam caused flooding and a "humanitarian catastrophe." Both Russia and Ukraine have denied responsibility for the explosion, but evidence suggests it was caused by an explosion. Ukraine's security service has intercepted a phone call from a Russian soldier admitting that a Russian "sabotage group" was behind the explosion.
