Kohat Mosque Bombing Kills Dozens, Police Among Victims
A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a mosque beside the Kohat police lines in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least 21 people (including about 15 police officers) and injuring around 78. Two attackers tried to enter the police compound, with one killed in a gunfight. The attack drew condemnation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and is part of a spike in militant violence linked to the Pakistani Taliban.
