
Chaykin SC02C: A Space-Tested Chronograph Goes Civilian
Konstantin Chaykin unveils the SC02C, a space-tested mechanical chronograph developed with Roscosmos and used on multiple spacewalks, now offered as a civilian limited edition of 28 pieces. The 44mm stainless steel case features a unidirectional bezel, luminous elements, and a reverse-dovetail sapphire crystal designed for extreme conditions, with 100m water resistance. Power comes from the hand-wound K.20-5, based on the Poljot 3133 and enhanced by Chaykin (60 bespoke components), delivering 21,600 vph, a 45-hour power reserve, and -15/+15 seconds/day accuracy, plus a 12-hour chronograph, stop-seconds, and damping protection. Two black fabric straps are included, including an extended version to fit over a spacesuit; price is yet to be announced.
