USF taps Kristy Curry to lead Women's Hoops on five-year deal
USF has hired Kristy Curry, the longtime Alabama head coach since 2013, to lead its women's basketball program on a five-year contract. Curry has built a 554-322 overall head-coaching record and led Purdue to seven NCAA appearances, with additional coaching stops at Texas Tech, Tulane, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech. She replaces longtime USF coach Jose Fernandez, who left for the Dallas Wings in the WNBA.
