Craig Brewer directs a rewrite of Joe Robert Cole’s script; the film is produced by Death Row Pictures and Imagine Entertainment, slated for August 6, 2027, and will feature music from Snoop’s catalog as part of Death Row Pictures’ deal with NBCUniversal.
Actress Lauren London pays tribute to her longtime partner Nipsey Hussle on the fourth anniversary of his death with an emotional Instagram post. Hussle was shot and killed outside his Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles in 2019. London shared photos of the rapper and quoted a passage from the Baháʼí Sacred Writings. Since his passing, London has honored his work through activism and philanthropy. The man accused of shooting Hussle, Eric Holder Jr., was found guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter in July and sentenced to at least 60 years in prison.
