During a police training event on sex trafficking, an Alabama sheriff’s deputy, Stephen Sims, took his own life in the parking lot, shocking colleagues and law enforcement officials. The 43-year-old father of four reportedly shot himself during a lunch break with three colleagues, leaving behind a close-knit group of friends and colleagues who remembered him as a great guy.
