
Fourth Fatality Ties Upper East Side Legionnaires’ Outbreak to Slowing Cases
A fourth person has died in the Upper East Side Legionnaires’ outbreak, bringing fatalities to four as at least 74 people have been sickened; there have been no new cases since July 15, officials say the likely exposure source (cooling towers testing positive for Legionella) appears to have been eliminated, and affected ZIP codes include 10028, 10075 and 10128; Legionnaires’ is not contagious.
