Twitter Labels BBC and NPR as 'Government Funded Media'

Twitter has labeled the BBC's account as "government funded media," despite the broadcaster being predominantly funded by UK households via a license fee. The BBC is seeking a resolution with Twitter, stating that it is and always has been independent. Twitter has not provided a definition for what it considers "government funded media" to constitute. The label was given to the BBC after a similar one was given to America's National Public Radio (NPR).
