Polarization-tuned metasurface lens enables switchable 2D–3D displays
A full-color 2D–3D switchable light-field display powered by a polarization-dependent metasurface lenticular lens (MLL) switches between 2D and 3D modes by changing the polarization of incident light. The ultrathin device (1.2 mm) achieves a wide 100° field of view and a 25 cm² active area, can be mounted onto an OLED panel, and demonstrates active switching via applied voltage, indicating scalability for wide-area display applications in consumer electronics.
