The Evolution of Zelda: From Linearity to Frustration.

The release of Tears of the Kingdom has solidified a new era of Zelda games centered around Shrines, a handful of new abilities, and a vast Hyrule to explore. The era of nostalgic, linear Zelda games has ended, and while it may be bittersweet, it's clear we will never get a "traditional" Zelda game again. The next big Zelda game will have to innovate upon the pure creative freedom that Tears of the Kingdom offers.
