MLS Match Goes Smartphone-Only: Apple to Broadcast Live Using iPhone 17 Pro
Apple TV will broadcast the LA Galaxy vs. Houston Dynamo MLS match on May 23 at 7:30 PM PT, filmed entirely with iPhone 17 Pro devices. Fifteen iPhones will capture everything from warmups to crowd shots at Dignity Health Sports Park, marking the first major live pro-sports event shot entirely with smartphones and continuing Apple’s iPhone-first production approach used in MLB Friday Night Baseball and MLS broadcasts.
