Grenada Keeps Search Active for Missing North Carolina Traveler Liz Waddell
Grenadian police say Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, a 44-year-old Cary, North Carolina resident, remains missing nearly a week after last seen swimming at Grand Anse Beach. Surveillance shows her entering the water at 11:51 a.m. and swimming under a jetty at 12:04 p.m., with witnesses later confirming she was in open water. Her traveling partner reported her missing at 5:50 p.m., and her husband has come to assist in the search. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, remain hopeful she’ll be found alive, and are asking locals and fishermen for information.
