Disney+ Reboots Darkwing Duck with Hamill, Rogen in Action-Comic Revival
Disney+ is greenlighting a new Darkwing Duck animated series, with Mark Hamill voicing Darkwing, Seth Rogen as Launchpad McQuack, Lizzy Caplan as Gosalyn Mallard, and Lilimar as Duckie. Produced by Disney Television Animation and Point Grey Pictures, the revival follows a rebellious teen named Duckie who drags the legendary crime-fighter back into battle in a universe that never heard of his exploits, reuniting with Launchpad, Gosalyn, Morgana and other allies to face foes like Negaduck and Megavolt. Executives include Sean Tretta and Borja Peña Gorostegui; the project blends action and Disney’s heart as it reimagines the hero for a new era.
