Navy Removes SRF-JRMC Leaders in Yokosuka Over Confidence Concerns
The U.S. Navy relieved the commanding officer, executive officer, and command master chief of the SRF‑JRMC in Yokosuka due to a loss of confidence in their ability to command. Capt. John Bauer and Cmdr. David Reinhardt will temporarily assume CO and XO duties, with Master Chief Petty Officer David Marcus stepping in as CMDCM. The move does not impact the facility’s mission to provide intermediate- and depot-level repair for Navy ships and U.S. 7th Fleet.
