Tennessee woman left paralyzed after man falls from tree at Louisville metal festival
Jamie Ulshoffer, a resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, suffered a severed spinal cord and is paralyzed from the waist down after a man fell from a tree onto her during a concert at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 18, 2026. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. during a performance by the band Knocked Loose, which had been delayed due to weather. Ulshoffer was sitting on the ground when the man landed on her, causing a broken back and three cracked ribs. She remains in the ICU at University of Louisville Hospital, and her husband, Conor, has stated she is unlikely to walk again. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $7,000 for her rehabilitation, while the festival organizers have declined to comment due to patient privacy.
