
Pierre Deny, ALS-Stricken Star of Emily in Paris, Passes Away at 69
Pierre Deny, the French actor best known internationally for portraying Louis de Leon, the CEO of JVMA, in Netflix's Emily in Paris, died at 69 after a sudden ALS diagnosis. Born in 1956, he began in theatre in the 1980s and went on to appear in more than 60 French TV shows and hundreds of episodes, becoming a familiar face on programs such as Plus Belle La Vie and Tomorrow Is Ours.
