Bombino Moves from San Diego FC to Stoke City for $5M
Defender Luca Bombino, a 20-year-old US youth international and LAFC Academy product, has transferred from San Diego FC to Stoke City for about $5 million, with San Diego retaining a sell-on clause. Bombino tallied 2 goals and 6 assists in 43 MLS regular-season appearances and helped San Diego during its 2025 expansion season; he joined on loan from LAFC before San Diego made the move permanent and signed a contract extension in January.
