UFC Debutant Luis Hernandez Vows to Retire Veteran Chris Curtis After Viral Callout
Luis Hernandez, 30, responded to a callout from veteran Chris Curtis by promising to end his career. Hernandez, a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy, just secured his UFC debut win against Sedriques Dumas via a 57-second stoppage at UFC Vegas 121. Curtis, 39, had previously threatened to 'fold' Hernandez following a 2025 incident at Tuff-N-Uff 145. Hernandez dismissed the threat, noting Curtis’s 6-5-1 UFC record, and stated he would only accept the fight after improving his own record. The two remain at odds, though Hernandez maintains a friendly relationship with Curtis’s teammate Sean Strickland.
