MacArthur Maze crowned California’s worst daily commute
A Resume.io poll of 3,017 workers names the MacArthur Maze near the Bay Bridge as California’s worst daily commute, beating out LA gridlock on I-101/I-580/I-880; respondents would sacrifice about $3,220 of yearly pay to avoid their commute, 46% would turn down a job due to distance, and many cited emotional tolls. Los Angeles still has the nation’s worst overall traffic (roughly 8 hours 27 minutes per week), with San Francisco Bay Area congestion also heavy (about 5 hours 56 minutes per week).
