Ted Lasso Season 4: Annette Badland Reflects on Mae Green's Final Day and Legacy
In the penultimate episode of Ted Lasso Season 4, the long-running character Mae Green dies while supporting the new women's team, the Lady Greyhounds. Annette Badland, who has played Mae since Season 1, revealed she learned of the character's fate only shortly before filming. The episode, titled 'Mae Rides the Bus,' depicts Mae's final day as she joins the team on the bus, delivers a locker room speech, and watches them overcome a 2-0 deficit to win 4-2. The storyline concludes with Rebecca breaking the news of Mae's passing to Ted, marking a significant emotional shift as the series transitions to a women's football focus.
