Intel invests $33 billion in German chip factories

Germany and Intel have signed an agreement to build two semiconductor facilities in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, costing an estimated €30bn and creating around 3,000 jobs. The project had been in doubt due to concerns over government funding and Intel's poor financial figures in the last quarter.
