A reboot of the PSP/PS3 sci-fi visual novel Steins;Gate is coming to PS5 and PS4 with updated visuals, new story content, and UI improvements. It will launch in Japan on August 20, 2026, with a Western release planned in 2026 since English language support is already included in the Japanese version.
Spike Chunsoft is set to publish MAGES.' The Quintessential Quintuplets visual novels, including Memories of a Quintessential Summer and Five Memories Spent With You, in the west, as revealed by leaked English screenshots and artwork from the PlayStation Store. The games, originally released in Japan, may also be bundled in a "Double Pack," and it remains uncertain if the third installment or the compilation title will also be localized.
MAGES director Makoto Asada hinted at a new Steins;Gate game announcement for 2024, coinciding with the franchise's 15th anniversary. Asada's comments suggest a sequel is in the works, with a significant event planned for October 2024 to celebrate the anniversary.
