63-year-old New Yorker Rescued After Treading Water for 5 Hours
A 63-year-old man from New York, Dan Ho, was rescued after treading water for five hours in the Atlantic Ocean. Ho created a makeshift flag using his shirt and a broken fishing pole to attract attention before being spotted by passing boaters. He was brought aboard their boat and transferred to a police vessel, where he received treatment for hypothermia. Ho had been swimming when he was pulled out by the current into open water.
