Ferrari's Maranello factory was spotted testing a Tesla Model S Plaid, sparking speculation about the Italian supercar maker's interest in the electric sedan segment despite its focus on hybrids. While Ferrari's first fully electric model is not expected until 2025, the company may be benchmarking the Tesla for future PHEV systems, with plans to launch three new cars in 2024, including a plug-in hybrid twin-turbocharged V6 engine and a LaFerrari successor.
