
Five Heartbeats Star Michael Wright Dies at 70
Michael Wright, best known for playing Eddie King Jr. in The Five Heartbeats, died at 70 in Los Angeles from heart failure and complications related to Marchiafava-Bignami, a rare degenerative neurological disease. The New York City native built a decades-long career in film and television since the late 1970s, with credits including The Wanderers, Streamers, Sugar Hill and appearances on TV staples like V, Oz, Miami Vice, and New York Undercover. He is survived by his wife Susan Wright, as well as his daughter and stepchildren.
