Masked demonstrators halt traffic into Dover port amid anti-immigrant protest
Masked men blocked roads leading to the Port of Dover in an apparent anti-immigrant protest, halting traffic into Britain’s busiest ferry port and causing a four-mile congestion while police engaged with the demonstrators. No violence was reported; local politicians criticized the disruption, and officials said crossings by small boats have fallen by more than 40% this year thanks to strengthened Britain–France enforcement.
