Virgin Orbit's Bankruptcy Signals Trouble for Space Startups.
Virgin Orbit, the satellite launch company owned by Richard Branson's Virgin Group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week after a failed scramble to avoid it. The company had been worth $3.8 billion in late 2020 and counted the US military among its biggest clients.
