The 206‑km day featured a nine‑km Ballon d’Alsace climb and left Pogacar 3 minutes 36 seconds clear of Jonas Vingegaard and 4:06 ahead of Remco Evenepoel, ahead of Saturday’s mountain stage in Alsace.

Pidcock Climbs to Top Four as Schmid Clinches Stage 13 at the Tour

Mauro Schmid won stage 13 of the Tour de France in a long breakaway on the Dole–Belfort route, finishing ahead of Harold Tejada after pulling clear with about 16km to go. Tom Pidcock finished third on the day and climbed to fourth overall, 4m16s behind race leader Tadej Pogacar, as Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard largely controlled the peloton while Remco Evenepoel remained in GC contention.
