Pokémon GO's Gigantamax Rillaboom Max Battle Day arrives on August 1, 2026, introducing the first shiny Gigantamax Rillaboom. The event brings boosted Max Particles and Power Spots (up to 1,600 and 8× from Power Spots), more Power Spots, three Special Trades, and a temporary Remote Raid cap lift. From July 31 5:00 PM PDT to Aug 1 8:00 PM PDT the remote raid limit increases to 20. On Aug 1 local time (12:00 AM–5:00 PM) players earn 2× Max Particles from exploring and extra Adventuring distance. Timed Research priced at $4.99 grants 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP and 6,400 Max Particles, plus 2× XP from Max Battles; an Ultra Ticket Box ($4.99) includes the Timed Research and a Premium Battle Pass. Max Battles happen at Power Spots and are easier to coordinate via the in-game Map and community meetups.
