Car Show Founder James Wehr Dies in Fiery Irvine Crash with New Girlfriend
James Wehr, 27, co-founder of the popular South OC Cars and Coffee event, died in a fiery crash in Irvine on Sunday, September 13, 2026. He was killed alongside 22-year-old Alexis 'Lexi' Kramer, a Hooters calendar model from Florida who had flown to California to meet him. The 2019 McLaren split in half and caught fire after striking a tree at high speed. While Wehr's family mourns him as a beloved community figure, his wife Emma Wehr is grieving, and Kramer's family alleges Wehr misled her about his marital status despite being married to Emma.
