A 1996 McLaren F1 GTR with a unique pop art livery sold for $34.6 million at RM Sotheby's Monterey, becoming the most expensive British-built car ever sold at public auction. The car, previously owned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, features rare race and road-converted specifications.
